Me and Jane had a ride down to Durham to watch a few of the local bands passing by the County Hotel balcony then down to the racecourse. It was not heaving when we were down but it was early in the morning. From there we then went out for a gravel / off road ride. Jane was on the E Cube mtb again and I was on the Cannondale Slate. The trails / tracks were lovely and quiet. The roads were not that busy either. The ground conditions are still bone dry, hard and dusty. We have still not had any rain despite the forecasted rain yesterday from 4-6pm yesterday that never came. There was a cool breeze in places. We had wall to wall sunshine and heat for the whole ride. The Garmin topped out at 24 degrees on the way back in. Below are a few snaps from the Big Meeting / ride. There is also a short video clip right at the bottom of the blog.
