An early start this morning 6.15am defrosting the van, this was the second good frost so far. After Saturdays mornings frosty ride the temperature didnt rise much as the sun didnt come out but today was a different matter. These are the days for a good ride out, I was heading home from site and I had my Cannondale Super X Hi mod in the back and thought right lets get pulled over and hit the old lines from some quick miles in before darkness comes down. I didnt have my lights so it was a quick out and back dash from South Pelaw upto Consett and back down again, 30miles. There was still areas of frost and ice on the track where the sun nevers reaches so had to take alittle more gingerly at times on the way back down. Below is a few photos i took whilst enjoying the fantastic weather. One good thing was there was not many other bikers, walkers, horse riders & dog walkers out so didnt have too many delays all the way.
