A few weeks ago when adjusting my Sram Apex brakes I took the Absolute Black pads out and cleaned them up and checked them over. The rear pads are getting well down now but the front ones still look spot on. I was looking for another spare set of pads and found these SwissStop Exotherm ones. I have these fitted to my Creo 1 road bike and cannot fault them. Did a Google and Team Cycles had two pairs in so bought them both. The rrp is an eye watering £37.99 per pair and I paid £22.50, that is why I bough two pairs!
Also my SIDI Mtb shoes need a good clean and tidy up and thought I would treat them to some sole plate replacements. The heel and toe plates still have loads of life left in them but the middle plates adjacent to the cleat have worn down. The cleats are also worn so going to replace them as well but I have a few spare Ritchey spd cleats from new pedals which I have bought over the years. The rrp on the SIDI set is £45 from Saddleback but after some shopping around I bought them from Balfes Bikes for £28 which is a massive saving but had £2.99 p&p on top for 48hr delivery.
