Consett to Parkhead n back on the C2C old railway line

Back to normal, yet another freezing cold and windy ride with no sun. It was short one from Delves Lane, Consett up the C2C old railway to Parkhead and back. I had a honking strong headwind all the way up which was a killer, on top of that the Garmin dropped to 2.9 degrees. I did not have enough layers on my top half and was feeling the cold. All I could think of was the tailwind coming back down! I did not stop long at the top gate and turned and headed back down. I was not touching the pedals on several stretches and was reaching 30mph. It took me 51 minutes to climb up and only 35 minutes to drop back down, unreal. Another plus there was hardly another sole out n about, seen more sheep than humans.
