Fresh Goods Sunday - Panracer Gravelking SK TLC (Tubeless) 700 x 43c

I have been using Gravelking tyres on my bikes over the last good few years with no problems at all. They are good value for money tyres if you shop around. Panaracer has massively increased there range of this TYRE now and has loads of different sizes, colours and models. I bought my first pair of SK models in 700x38c size for the Mason over a couple of years ago and very soon discovered that the frame and fork could have took the wider 43c version so ordered one for the front and kept the 38c on the rear. They have done a fair few miles and never had any real problems apart from one glass cut in the rear where the Stans could not seal it. I have no problems with them on or off road in the dry or the wet. They will clog in muddier conditions but they are not designed as a mud tyre as such. They are ideal for along the old railway lines around Co Durham and venturing off road road through single track short wooded sections of trails. They are a good wearing tyre and don't really show any signs of wear.
Since I bought the Spez Creo SL I took there own brand 38c tyres off and stripped off the Gravelking 43c from the front wheel of the Mason and refitted in onto the front wheel of the Creo inc converting it from tubed to tubeless. The rim tape was already fitted so just had a tubeless value to fit and top up the Stans. There is still even clearance around the fork - crown and sides but nothing too muddy as it will clog. Looking at the clearance I would not recommend fitting the new 50c version! I tried the 38c width tyre on the rear wheel just to double check if there was going to be enough clearance for the 43c width and there was so I ordered another 43c tyre and again striped off the Spez tyre and converted the wheel to tubeless in the same method as the front. Again there is even clearance on the seat stays and bb / chainstay areas on the frame.
RRP £40 and I paid £25.51 inc next day delivery.

Manufacturers blurb - Looking for a tire that's more aggressive than the mixte-tread GravelKing? The GravelKing Sk might just be the tire you need for the more hardcore roads. Aggressive knobs, ZSG Natural rubber compound, puncture protection breaker and AX-α special low rolling resistance casing make the Gravelking a go-anywhere tire. And tubeless compatible up to 60 PSI!
