After a very busy week at work and a couple of 6am starts there was no spare time for any cycling but I did manage a 2 1/2 hour hike on Thursday. Today was the annual Big Meeting down in Durham. Me and Jane had a ride down to watched a few bands / banners coming through past the Royal County and heading down to the race course. After that we hit the trails and headed through to Bishop Auckland for breakfast in Spoons then a steady ride back along the old railway lines. The weather was very mixed and just about stayed dry for the whole ride. It was overcast / cloudy with the sun trying to come through now and then. The temperature was up and down like a yoyo. The lines were very wet / damp after yesterdays thunder storms but no massive puddles. They are getting very over grown with all the rain / heat. In the end we covered just under 34 miles. Below are a few snaps / video clips from the ride, enjoy and hopefully more soon.
