Road trip to the coast then in land

Friday night and after a busy two / three days gathering, cleaning and listing bike stuff for sale, then dealing with all the questions, packaging and posting we were flat out but with a few extra quid in the back pocket to cover buying the newer car.
We (me, Jane & Arran, Angus was working again) fancied a day out to the coast but did not want to go as far as Whitby and we had been to Shields not so long ago so come up with a plan to head towards Redcar then pick up the coast road down to Saltburn by the sea. After a rather cold / windy / sea beaten walk all the pier / sea front etc we headed in land in the van to take in Gisborough, Great Ayton then ended up in Stokesley for a walk around / shopping. On the way back I thought we were finished but kept on the A19 and ended up at Dalton Park for more shopping! by the time we got back in we were all shattered.
