On Monday we had a trip down to Darlington - we were going to ride down & back but wanted to get some shopping and it was raining and freezing cold when we left Durham so we took the van instead. We called in past Wheelbase for their official opening and the shop was rammed full of bikes and people. Arran got a signed poster of Danny Hart but we did not see him and the BBQ taxi was not there either. I hope they do well and wish them the best of luck in the NE.
After some shopping etc we called in past Sherwoods to look at some new / newer vans, what can I say - very expensive for what you get!
Late afternoon the temperature finally picked up to double figures so me and Jane went for a short local off road walk.
This week we have been on holiday apart from Angus = a week of graft around the house inc decorating, chucking rubbish out, diy, cleaning etc. Yesterday me and Jane got a near 5 mile walk in the freezing cold - 7.5 degrees in the morning and that was without the wind chill factor!
Today we had the house valued, sure its the first proper valuation we have had, interesting to say the least. Then a walk into Durham as Jane's sim card in her mobile phone was not working. Half an hour later in Vodaphone it was sorted, what a crap company they are.
On the walk back we diverted through Wharton Park which reopened last weekend following a very long closure for refurbishment. I am not overally impressed tbh and cannot see where the multi millions of £'s have gone and they are still not finished with several areas still to complete.
During the clear out before decorating I found my Singletrack magazine collection 1-100 issues, not one missing! should I keep them or sell them for charity? I am undecided on what to do.
Next weekend is Tractor Fest down at Newby Hall, Yorkshire & Quad racing at Wooley Grange on the Sunday - more info of this soon.
