Local blast out of the Dale Beast of the 'N' East

Well after a full day of unpacking, sorting stuff out from the holiday and back on with jobs around the house yesterday it was time for a frosty ride this morning on the 27.5+" beastie.
I kept it local and dropped down into Durham and did some loops around Houghall woods, up the trod etc covering 16 miles in the cold, sun and rain showers.
The ground was mainly frozen but the woods are up the naffs again with all the rain / snow earlier in the week.
Just as well I had my winter tyres on which provided plenty of grip in the slippery conditions. It was bombing along on the hard frozen ground as well. I also used the lock out on the lefty fork for climbing on tarmac country lanes which makes a big difference.
Below are a few photos from the ride, hope you enjoy and hopefully more soon -

Angus's first driving lesson yesterday, another one with Bradleys today
