U12’s 12:00 noon, free entry, 10-15 mins

U14/16’s/Novice Lady, 12:30pm, free entry, 30 mins

Sen/Vet/Lady/Junior, 1:30pm, £10 on the day for TLI Members, £16 non TLI Members, 50-60min

I have ridden around the field / venue yesterday and the ground is hard / bone dry and very fast going.

As normal please park in the car park to the right as you come off the main road. Do not park on the left side or around the back of the centre. If the car park is full please park in the industrial estate opposite.

Do not clean of bike or shoes in the car park. Please use the grass verges all around the car park.

Please do not go into the sports centre with muddy clothes / shoes.

Do not ride on any tarmac or gravel footpaths / bridleways.

No swearing at any time.

Please respect the other users of the centre and land.

Sunny local mixed gravel and country lane ride

Well it was about time I dragged the bike and myself back out again for a local spin. The sun was shinning and the wind was blowing gently. I headed along the old railway line to Bishop. I then rode through the market place and up the big hill to pick up the old railway line to Spenny. The lines are bone dry and very dusty at the mo. There was not that many people out and about either. Once at Spenny I went through and out of the town centre and straight towards Hett village. I went through Hett and come out at Croxdale then along the river banks / under the viaduct and back up the hill to join back onto the Broom Park to Bishop line. The bike went well but I just did not have the power or energy in the legs for some reason. When I had a tailwind and the sun was on me I felt great and I did pick up a little nearer to the end. Fresh Goods Sunday - Cannondale Retro & Diagonal Logo Water bottles 600 & 750ml

For some reason I have bought a lot of new water bottles this year, not sure why as they normally last me a long time. These were a tip off from Ian Dunn and are very good value compared to the rrp. I have not used Cannondale water bottles before due to the very high rrp but have looked at them in many shops and could see they were very good quality and that was probably part of the reason for the rrp. When Merlin and a few other dealers were flogging them off I bought two 600ml and two 750ml in both diagonal and classic prints. I have been using the 600ml on and off for the last few months and had no problems. They fit my bottles cages spot on and are easy to wash and fill. The mouth piece is better quality than the cheapo bottles you get but still does the same thing, releases the fluid into your month.
They come in various colours from, clear, black and green.

Trip down to Whitby & Weekley Catch Up

I have had a very busy week at work after coming back from our holidays so I not been out on the bike but I did manage a near 4 hour walk on Thursday pm. Arran has also started his apprenticeship in floor laying this week and has been on introductions / courses for the last four days. Angus is now a fully qualified electrician and started a permanent full time job on Monday and he is still working 7 days a week so we hardly see him.
The forecast was for a heat wave this weekend but every time I checked it was not so not sure what the hell the forecasters was on about but it was sunny yesterday so we headed to Whitby along with another million day visitors. It was very, very busy, the streets and fish n chip shops were rammed. We did some sight seeing, walk on the beach, walk up the steps and some shopping. On the way back we called in past Bike Scene at Guisborough, looks like it is closing down with very little stock in. We also called in past NRG at Stockton, much better selection of everything. Then we called in past Toolstation and Screwfix for some gear for Arran. Finally got home, van unloaded and shattered.
