Yesterday we did not have anything planned apart from catching up with jobs around the house but I thought come on lets go out for the day. We drove up to the Toon and got parked up. Straight into Fenwick's and up to the top floor for full English breakfast's. You cannot fault the quality / quantity of the food and you get a hot or cold drink and toast £7.25 each. Then Jane popped into a few shops and we had a walk down to the quayside. It was busy down there and loads of stalls. We all had ice creams then over to the Baltic. After that is was a walk back along the quayside, back up the hill, a couple more shops then back to the car park. The toon emptied my pockets and more! but a canny family day out. Below are a few snaps Angus took, enjoy and hopefully more soon -

Fresh Goods Sunday - Storck Summer Glove Pro
I bought these a while ago now when they were selling off all the Storck clothing / bikes. I have two pairs of Gore finger less gloves that have lasted for many years but one pair is starting to get worn, torn & holey.
I dragged these out from storage and they are defo lightweight on the back as you can see your skin through the mesh material. Sizing comes up very small, these are XXL and a perfect tight'ish fit. The palms are not the best quality I have seen, nor is the padding. I will not be using them on long or off road rides. They have the same feel as cheapo Altura Chinese lower end gloves, but what do you expect for £14 lol. The same cannot be said of there other clothing which me and Angus wear. The quality is very top end on the tights etc. Time will tell if they last more than a couple of summer seasons. The finger pulls to get them off are both at one end so when you pull them off they are lop sided and other two fingers come out backwards.

Small loop from Bishop Auckland n back on the E Bikes
Today we took the van with the bikes in through to Bishop Auckland for a short loop on the old railway lines. The lines are still bone dry and dusty. The weather felt cooler with the breeze and cloud with the sun trying to break through. After a few miles the sun came out and the temperature went up. There was a few more people out and about first thing this morning. After the 19 mile loop we got changed and parked up in Bishop Auckland town centre to go and do some shopping / banking. This was then followed by some breakfast in spoons, food and fuel shopping at Morrisons. After that we called in past the picture framing shop at Dragonville to see Paul to get a print framed. Once back home unload the van and put the bikes back on charge ready for the next ride. Below are a few snaps from the ride, enjoy and hopefully more soon -
| New back tyre still ok, no sealant leakage so far. |

Trip out to Shields last Sunday
Last Sunday we had a trip out to South Shields for the day. The weather was mixed and wind but it stayed dry for the day. We had a walk down to the beach then along the beach. On the way back we walked through the park where the steam train was firing up. After that we had a walk up to the shop for some shopping then to Colemans for fish n chips, except Angus who had sausage n chips. Cracking day out and shattered when we got back in, must have been the sea breeze. All just under 12,000 steps!
