I was sick of hearing about how today was going to be the best day of weather all week with high temperatures and wall to wall sunshine all day. So I was up and out after 6am for a local loop from Broompark picnic area. It was a cool start with some sun in between all the cloud and my arm warmers were not coming off at the start of the loop. The route was mainly on old railway lines apart from a couple of inter linking road sections and some singletrack through the woods. The lines have dried up a lot since the weekends rain. There was not too many other people out and about so not too much slowing down / speeding back up passing to do. There was not a lot of traffic on the interlinking road sections either. The wind was still blowing like a good'un 20+mph in places. About two thirds of the way around the sun came out and wind died down and the temperature shot up so it was time to peel the arm warmers off and pull down some zips on the tops. All in just over 37 miles in 2hrs 57mins with 2200ft of climbing. Below are a few snaps from the ride, enjoy and hopefully more soon-
