Saturday morning walk down to Durham and back to Sherburn road

After two days back at work after the New Year and still not feeling 100% I needed another walk out to get some more fresh air. I had a car booked in for its mot at Sherburn road so was an ideal opportunity for another hike out. Me and Jane headed off down to the old Wood & Watsons bridge and then headed down to the riverside through the woods. The sun came out and it was a beautiful morning. We walked along the riverside to the baths bridge, crossed over and followed the path all the way to Maiden Castle. We were going to go over the noisy bridge but kept going to the road bridge at Low Shincliffe. We crossed that then took the left and followed the river back again. We crossed over the rugby pitch and joined onto the bottom of the trod as time was getting on by now. Up the trod and turned left through Sherburn Road estate and out at the bingo hall and down to the garage. All in we were out around 1hr 10mins and covered 10500 steps. The car passed its mot so it was time to head home.
Once back home it was straight on with some outside jobs as the weather was so nice. Below are a few snaps from the walk, enjoy and hopefully more soon-
