A ride down to and around Durham, Maiden Castle, Houghall n back on the Cube E Mtb

Yesterday afternoon was a complete wash out here in Co Durham with some very frequent heavy rain so I could not potter on doing a few light jobs outside.
Today the forecast is looking a lot better so I decided to take Angus's Cube E mtb for a very steady spin down to Durham. I pumped up the tyres, the battery was already charged and it was ready to rock n roll. The track down to Durham was all quiet. So the riverside, in face everywhere I went there was hardly a sole kicking about. I passed a few joggers on the way back in. The off road sections were wet and muddy, as you expect! As for the weather well it was mainly cloudy / overcast but the sun did come through once. It was not cold but there was a nip in the air with the strong wind. Below are a few snaps from the ride inc some scenic ones of Durham's landscape and buildings etc. Enjoy and hopefully more soon -
