After two days of cleaning up after the holiday and washing / waxing the cars / van and swapping the winter wheels for summer wheels I felt shattered. But the forecast was dry and warm so headed out on the Cube E Mtb this morning just after 7am for a longer route through to Bishop and back - just under 40 miles in 3 hours on the nose and the bike still had two bars out of the five left on the display. The old railway lines have dried up except for a few large puddles. As soon as you go off road anywhere it is still up in the eyes in deep sloppy clarts. As you can see on the photos I did get a sun rise but clouded back over after 10 mins until I reached Bowburn on the way back when the sun came back out again. The temperature on the Garmin was 1.8 degrees so was fresh to say the least. Still not quite 3/4 bottoms yet up here in the NE! Back home and clothes in wash, I had a wash then I washed the bike, back on charge ready for another spin. Enjoy the photos below and hopefully more soon -
