Test Ride - Cannondale Moterra 3 27.5+ Full Suspension Electric Mountain Bike (2017)

Well after three days of election work we got finished early yesterday so nipped down to Westbrook Cycles to pick up a Cannondale Moterra 3 27.5"+ full sus e bike for a trial period.
It was fully charged and ready to go but by the time we got back I was shattered but my boyos had some fun on it.
Today after a good sleep and a top up charge it was my go for a blast. Angus came along on the Krampgrease and we kept it local doing all the woods / single track around here. It has a few settings from eco up to turbo mode. After an hour or so I worked out what setting worked best with your speed / cadence and incline your were on. The thing is a beast and brings a smile from ear to ear. Changing the mode is easy via a switch on your left with a central display unit in the middle. It is also a computer showing distance, max speed, ave speed etc. The display also shows the range of miles left when you are in each mode and how much battery power is left. We were out for over 2.5hours and there was two bars out of the five left. I have never ridden some of the trails today since I was a fit young lad, it makes you go where you have not ridden for ages. We covered 20.5miles and nearly 2500ft of climbing and my legs feel like they have not been out on a bike. Now this is where the problem lies, I should have been feeling it. If you had an e bike you would probably not use any of your normal pedals bikes a lot and probably end up selling them. If you only ride one bike then this would not be a problem.
As for the ride well the combination of full suspension and 27.5"+ tyres it will more or less ride over anything and you don't feel much. The combination of e assist and it bombs along even the roughest of tracks. Where I felt it the most was on the climbs, I used it on very steep short climbs and had to push the last part with walk assist mode on, less steeper climbs that you would not normally clear it gets you up with ease.
One down side is the thing weighs a ton! and hard to get through kissing gates etc. Here is a link to the BIKE and its rrp is £3800. Cannondale also have several other e models - LINK
Below are a few snaps, enjoy and I will hopefully get out on it again very soon!
