Sunday morning ride up the Waskerley to Stanhope on the Mason Bokeh

We did not set off too early this morning as we did not have to be at Wolsingham until just before midday, see the next blog on that front. Me and Angus set off from home and joined on to the old railway line at Bearpark horse farm and took the old line through Langley Park, Lanchester and up to the coal truck junction. We stopped here for a few photos and quick drink before heading left and up the Waskerley to Parkhead cafĂ©. It started off warm but the higher we were getting the more cloud and colder it was getting. On the tops the Garmin was reading a very cool 7.8 degrees. We had a steady headwind all the way up which made it tough going to say the least. Angus was on the Cannondale Super x hi mod flying machine and off course I was on my new Mason Bokeh. No probs today apart from the headset needs a slight tighten up. This is only the second ride on the Mason and I am still getting used to the bike. I had no back pain and was in the saddle over 2 hours 45mins which is a good thing. Might give it another few rides before deciding if I need to shorten the stem by 10mm or raise the stem slightly. Below are a few photos from the ride, enjoy and hopefully more soon -
