I have always been after a good jacket that offers more protection than a lightweight pertex but not as bulky and heavy as a full on winter jacket that you can fold away to a reasonable size and does not weigh too much. This Endura model seemed to fit the bill and was in the sale so time to grab a bargain. It is defo heavier than the Endura pertex and does not pack down so small but does offer far better rain and wind protection when out on the saddle. It is quite warm as well and doesn't have arm pit ventilation but has black stretch panels which I am not sure which is a more breathable fabric. The zips on the cuffs is a very good idea instead of elastic so you dont have to take your gloves off to pull the jacket on and off. The reflective strips is also a nice touch. I have not and probable will not the media port feature. Another functional part is the grippy material on the waist band of the jacket, its super soft and tacky to touch and helps prevent the bottom of the jacket moving up / around. It is exactly what I wanted a half jacket between my thin pertex and thick full on winter jacket.
The rrp £180, shop around and I got mine from Westbrook Cycles for £79.99 less the Top Cash Back, not a bad buy !
There is no way on earth I would have ever looked at this jacket with a £180 price tag on it, to be honest you can get full on winter jackets which are cheaper than this but as I have said a very good buy in the sale.
