Sunday moring local loop on the Mason Bokeh

Up and out early this morning for a frosty start with the temperature on the Garmin dipping to minus -2 degrees going through Lanchester along the old railway line. The grass verges were pure white but the sun soon came out and by the time I reached Consett it was plus +4 degrees. From Consett, turned right and took the C2C down to Birtley. It was fast going as I am sure I had a tailwind of sorts. There was quite a few other people out and about along the lines. From Birtley I dropped onto the cycle lane to Chester Le Street then around the riverside to pick up the cycle lane back to Pity Me then home. The Mason was riding well but my poor legs were starting to feel the climbing out of Chester le street with five miles into a head wind! It was full on winter clothing out fit as well with long leggings, winter boots, long fingered gloves, merino wool cap etc. Below are a few snaps from the ride, enjoy and hopefully more soon -
