Saturday morning gravel loop to Bishop with Jane from Willington.

Our second car was due for its 2nd year service so we had to be through to Mark at Willington for 8am to drop the car off. Jane followed through in the van with the bikes in. Once we dropped the car off we jumped on the bikes and picked up the old railway line just up the hill at the coal factory. From there we headed back to Brandon then turned right and down to Sunderland Bridge. From there to Croxdale then around the back way to Tudhoe Village, Spenny to pick up the old railway line to Bishop. Once at Bishop we dropped down to the market place for breakfast specials in the cafĂ©. Once we were feed and watered we jumped back on the bikes and called in past the House of Smudge to say hello to John and then over the viaduct. We then picked up the old railway line back to Willington to pick the car up. The tracks were lovely and quiet this morning and damp after yesterday afternoons rain. The loop was just under 20 miles. I took the Mason and Jane was on the E mtb Cube, with spd pedals / shoes on! finally converted her after 20 odd years of riding flats with toe clips! Below are a few snaps from ride, enjoy and hopefully more soon.
PS Bikewise in on tomorrow at the Police HQ, Aykley Heads.
