Hot, humid and cloudy Sunday morning gravel ride with Jane

After yesterdays ride in the blazing hot sunshine this mornings cloudy / overcast ride felt a lot better but it still reached 25 degrees on the Garmin. I took Jane out for a local spin joining on the lines at Baxters Farm then joined onto the old railway line to Ushaw Moor, Esh Winning, Waterhouses then up the long climb to the top of Stanley Crook. We stopped for a drink break before dropping down to Crook. We joined the road at Crook to Willington then turned off left to join the old railway line back through Brancepth, Brandon, Langley Moor then down and up the dipper back to Baxters Farm. From there we took the cycle track back through Whitesmocks / Framwellgate Moor and back home via the back of the College / Carrs. All in we covered just over 25 miles. After some fettling on the Slate last night the saddle / seat post squeak has gone thanks to Park Tool Poly lube and GT85. The rear mech is indexing perfect, required one full turn on he barrel. Levelled the handlebars back up and re tensioned the stem cap bolts. Fitted a Cannondale Garmin mount - see more in Fresh Goods Sunday later, just needs a good wash now. Below are a few dusty and very warm photos, hopefully more soon -
