Another hot and sunny Saturday morning gravel ride with Angus

Well it has been red hot and sunny nearly all week again and still no rain. We had one afternoon of total cloud and was slightly cooler! Me and Jane had nearly a 2 hour hike on Thursday but it was warm!
Today Angus was not working for a change and fancied a ride out so he took the Cube E mtb and I was back on the Cannondale Slate. As you can see by the photos it was red and sunny for the local ride. There was a cool breeze in places and was a lot cooler in the shaded sections of woods. The grass is looking well and truly burnt now and the lines are powder dry and dusty. There was a few others out and about before the England match this pm. The E bike was performing well but the Slate has developed a creek on the saddle / seatpost which was annoying and the rear mech cable tension needs a turn as the up index is slightly out. We covered 25 miles around Whitesmocks, Baxter Farm, Brandon, Croxdale, Bowburn, Gilesgate, Maiden Castle, Durham then back home. Below are a few snaps from the ride , enjoy and hopefully more soon -
