Sunday morning ride upto Hownsgill Viaduct and Cafe

It was sunny early morning but by the time we left it had clouded over but still warm. There was a stiff breeze but it did not feel like it was a head wind too much on the way up or on the way back. Once we reached Hownsgill the sun came back out so we sat on the terrace part of the cafĂ© on the picnic benches for a cuppa and food. Once feed and watered we all had a steady spin back down the old railway line. It was pretty quiet for a Sunday morning with a few other cyclists, joggers, dog walkers and a couple of horse riders out enjoying the fresh air. Angus got a rear puncture on the way back with just over a mile to go but it was a slow puncture so we just kept on going.
Once back I adjusted the saddle / seatpost on the Kona Hei Hei for Arran and fixed the puncture, jobs a good'un. Below are a few photos from the ride, enjoy and hopefully more soon -

And a few sunny pics from South Shields yesterday
