Sunday morning ride up the Waskerley to Parkhead Cafe and back

Up and out early with the sun shinning and the wind blowing! Its been three years since Jane has had a ride up to Parkhead Café so today was the day. I did not think it was too bad going up apart from the 20+mph headwind in places but Jane was struggling! we reached the top and called in past the café for a cuppa. Its been along time since we have bought anything from up there and by god its not cheap! We just had a cuppa then turned and headed back down with mainly a tail'ish wind. There was a lot of free wheeling going on lol. I topped 30mph freewheeling down one section tucked in. Once back to Consett Jane was happy. I took the Mason and Jane was on the Scott Scale Contessa. The line was very busy with loads of other cyclists, a few dog walkers and runners. Below are a few pics from the ride, enjoy and hopefully more soon -
