I was planning on a road ride yesterday but after finishing work it was still far too hot. Today its back to normal- cloudy with a couple of snippets of sun, breezy and down to around 15-19 degrees. As the weather was still dry I took out the Cannondale Black Inc Ltd Nano. I haven't ridden it for a while and by god its light and nippy on the hills. I did a loop around Edmonbyers, Derwent Water, up to Weardale, done to Blanchland, Kiln Pit Hill and back, just 24 miles with nearly 2500ft climbing. What a mix of road surfaces from brand new super smooth tarmac, to freshly chipped topping to weeds growing down the middle of the lane and more potholes than there was road.
