Berwick Upon Tweed holiday - Part 1

Easter hols and time to take some time off work and have some r and r! We I never really get much time for the r and r part but we had a short break booked up in Berwick Upon Tweed. Last Easter we had cracking weather in 2016, fingers crossed we were hoping for the same again. We set off early Sunday morning to miss the traffic and was a very quiet drive up the A1. No probs apart from the A1 was closed for a short section due to fatal accident the day before. After an hour and a half we dropped straight down to Screamston beach for a walk along the coastal path before dropping down on to the beach for a walk back. We spent the whole day nearly down on the beach as the weather was fantastic. Monday and still no rain and mainly sunny skies so drove down to the carpark around the back of the pier. We had a walk along the pier to the lighthouse and back then spent most of the day on the beach behind the pier. We headed to the sports centre for a swim, well more like a play in the waves, flume, water jets and floats etc. More in Part 2 asap -
