Bank Hol Monday - early morning ride + man cave time

The sun was shinning so was out on the Cannondale Slate Apex for a 16 mile spin down to Durham, around the riverside, then over to Houghall woods, around Maiden castle river banks, up & down the trod, around Durham again then home via Frankland farm & the dog kennel loop. As you can see in the photos below the weather was fantastic, the rain had stopped, the sun was out, very little wind and a canny nip in the air. Durham was very quiet at 7.30am so spun along nicely.

Once back home I decided to rebuild my old Kona Ti Hei Hei frame to use for some more xc racing this year. The Beat of the East was a beast to race on! Arrans Scott Contessa carbon scale is too small now so robbed most of the parts from that and a few from Janes bike and to finish it off out of my spare stock.

Nearly finished, pedals to go on, bottle cage, gamin mount and swap the stem for a Thompson. I am also having a clear out of framesets and a few bikes very soon, will post up details when I dig them out and buff them up.
