Saturday morning ride on the local trails with the Salsa Beargrease and Krampgrease.

Today me and Angus was up and out on the carbon Salsa Beargrease and Krampgrease for a spin on the local trails. First port of call was over to the Bikewise field to see how they were getting on (see photos below) for tomorrow's event, we then we crossed over to Wharton Park for a snoop around. From there we dropped down in to Durham and around the river banks to Maiden Castle, then took the back way over to Bowburn then over to Croxdale Estate. Up under the Viaduct and climbed the long hill to pick up the railway line from Bishop to Broom Park. Once at Broom Park we took the Consett railway line to Baxters Farm and turned off and headed home. The weather is still hot but not boiling hot as there was a breeze again and plenty shade in the wooded sections / cloudy at times. The trails were nice and quiet again so not too much slowing down for dogs etc. The bikes were running well, front disc on the Krampgrease is rubbing a little so will adjust the calliper. No mud just dusty trails so got away with washing the bikes back home. A few pics below enjoy and more soon -
